Bring Home The Bartenders

The Men of BOXERS Present Their 2019 Calendar

Perhaps it's because they are scantily clad in those adorable red shorts... but the men of Boxers are, hands down, the best looking bartenders in New York.   Who wouldn't want to bring them home?

Now, you can!  The Boxers 2019 Calendar is twelve months of perfection, featuring some of our favorites from all four Boxers locations including  Zack and Bernard from the Hell’s Kitchen bar;  Rafael from Chelsea;  Julian and Carlos from Washington Heights; and Austin from Philadelphia.

Photographed by Leandro Justen, the calendar was made in collaboration with Smirnoff Vodka.  “Their generous sponsorship makes the annual project possible,” confirms Bob Fluet, who owns the popular chain along with Rob Hynds.

The calendar benefits Out My Closet, a non profit organization that empowers displaced and under resourced LGBTQ youth with clothing grants, counseling services and other outreach and educational programs.

"They are a relatively young organization and they inspire us," explains George Maestre, the operations and programming manager at Boxers.  "We wanted to give them a platform and create awareness on the important work they do."

Boxers is a gay sports bar that mixes mainstream sports bars elements like pool tables, beer on tap, and football games on big screens with DJs, pop music videos and shirtless male  bartenders in yes, those adorable red boxers.

The bartenders graciously volunteered their time (and bodies!) to help shine the spotlight on LGBTQ youth and for that, we raise our glass to them.

A naughty but nice behind-the-scenes look at the making of the 2019 Boxers calendar is on Youtube.
