Queercon Returns to Las Vegas

Cybersecurity plays a vital and growing role for corporations and governments around the world. As the number of electronic devices grows, yhe amount of data that we create, consume, and share can be vulnerable to attacks. These attacks come in many forms and it is up to IT security experts and hackers to help protect the data and infrastructure of our digital lives.

Each summer, thousands of these security experts and hackers descend on Las Vegas for DEF CON and Black Hat security confereces.. In addition to these conferences, Queercon the largest LGBTQ hacking organization returns once again, Las Vegas July 25th - 30th.

Partnering with #Hak4Kidz Queercon will be tossing water balloons Tuesday evening in the parking lot of the Tuscany Suites.  A Queercon lounge on site during BSidesLV on Tuesday and Wednesday with our Tuesday night poolside mixer starting at 7pm.

Black Hat is excited to host Queercon for the first time this year, at Black Hat USA 2017. Queercon will host a reception on Wednesday, July 26 onsite at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center in Las Vegas.

Queercon 14 officially kicks off on Thursday with our DEF CON penthouse party and electronic badge release party at Caesars Hotel.  Friday and Saturday the Queercon Lounge will host a variety of games, talks and mixers throughout the day. 

Friday night Queercon kicks into full party mode with with DJ Brett Law and Skitish & Bus spinning club mixes into the night. 

Saturday night Queercon hosts the Queercon Club with DJ Andrew Gibbons, DJ Brett Law and Skitish & Bus playing until the early morning.  At the same time Queer-a-oke also starts up with the LGBTQ Karaoke room open all night.

Sunday closes the event with Queercon Lounge, mixer and farewell party.  

Queercon is a non-profit organization that supports LGBTQ diversity within the IT Security and hacker community.  Founded in 2003 Queercon has become the largest diversity organization with members from around the world.r
